Naylor Warren Hensley, 72 years old, suddenly passed away Saturday, June 19, 2010 at the Brentwood Extended Home Care and Rehab Center of Muskogee. Naylor has battled cancer for the past three years. Naylor was born June 4, 1938 to Susie Spade Hensley and James Harb Hensley of Eldon Community, east of Tahlequah. Services and burial will be under the direction of Reed~Culver Funeral Home of Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Services will be Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Reed~Culver Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Spade Family Cemetery. Naylor is preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters and 5 brothers. Survivors include one daughter, Sheila Dishno of Claremore and one son, Paul Hensley of Pryor; one brother, Donnie Hensley of Tahlequah; 4 sisters, Louella Kelly of Jal, New Mexico, Lueine Fairchild of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Iva Fletcher and Barbara Gatewood, both of Stilwell, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Rosie, MaRanda, George, Steven; many nieces, nephews and special friends, Merle Dickson, Bonnie Sides, Nancy Morris, Jo Ann Hughart and Laura Waymire. Naylor served his country in the United State Army. After serving in the service, Naylor was a welder by trade. He loved his work and he loved the outside life, fishing, hunting, Gardening or just making flower gardens as he grew older. Naylor spent his last three years in the nursing centers and hospital. He had his sister, Lueine, each day by his side, whether just for talking a walk or taking a nap. He loved to have pancakes at IHOP or Golden Corral for some good catfish. Lueine would take him on Mondays to the casino and let him enjoy the atmosphere for about one hour. These last three years of his life was limited, but Naylor loved getting out, even when Lueine would take him for a haircut, the next stop was Braums for a strawberry ice cream cone and a drive through Honor Heights Park. Naylor made many friends over the two and a half years he lived at Grace Living Center in Muskogee. He enjoyed visiting and teasing the nurses. He liked helping a patient that needed help getting to the dining area, or maybe helping the cooks lock up the kitchen at night, Grace Living Center is where he called home. Naylor enjoyed playing his guitar and singing gospel songs, this was one of his favorite things to do.
