Funeral services for Billy Ray Burton, 46, were at 11 a.m. today, Friday, Aug. 20, 1999, at Concord Baptist Church with the Rev. George Harris officiating. Interment was at Concord Cemetery under the direction of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home.
Burton was born Dec. 20, 1952, at Talihina, to Byrl Burton and Delois Burton. He died Aug. 18, 1999, in Ardmore.
He married Teresa Harris July 27, 1980, at Ardmore and was a member of Concord Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father on Oct. 20, 1977.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa; daughter, Tawana Ann Burton; and granddaughter, Jesselyn Burton, all of the home; his parents, Delois and Alfred Vaughn of Ardmore; two sisters, Tawana Watterson and Janet Lindsey of Ardmore; and brother, Gary Burton of Marietta.
Bearers were John Blanton, Luther Wooley, Jerry Antuna, Owen, Juston and Jason Watterson.
