Died- March 31, 1885, at her home in Ashland. Mrs. Jennie Sinclair, aged 30 years, 1 month and 29 days.

Last Wednesday a large number of friends and relatives gathered at the residence of Joseph Bowers to pay respect to his daughter, Mrs. Jennie Sinclair.

The funeral cortege moved from the family residence at half past twelve toward Centenary Church, five miles from Ashland, in the neighborhood the deceased and her husband were raised. On arriving at the church many friends of the neighborhood had joined the sad procession and together filled the beautiful chapel to its full seating capacity. By her request the funeral services were conducted by Rev. James Garner, who preached a very impressive and apt discourse. Adjourning to the newly made grave, the ritual was read by Rev. F. Crane, pastor of the M. E. Church at this place, after which the remains were lowered to rest forever in peace.

A few days before the arm of Our Maker claimed his own she was asked if she thought she could recover from her illness. Her answer was "No," saying, "I am trusting in my savior." She was united in marriage on the 31st of March, 1881, to Mr. John Sinclair, and proved a tender and affectionate wife, a devoted Christian of many warm friends, who will miss her zealous labors in the cause of God.

This makes the second bereavement in a comparatively short time that has visited this family, who have sincere sympathy of the wide circle of friends and relatives in their affection. Mrs. Sinclair was one of those gentle, noble-hearted women whom it seems we can least spare, but who frequently leave us when we most wish them stay. Deceased leaves behind her dutiful and kind husband, a cherished father, an affectionate sister and five loving brothers, who will miss her more than all others.
