He was born June 29, 1959 to Martha Harper of Hayti. He attended Hayti High School and played football. After graduating he then joined the Army and after serving two years he was honorably discharged. He was a kind man and will be missed.
Survivors include his mother, Martha Harper of Hayti; three sisters Joyce Harper of Kennett, Ruby and husband Ralph Higgins of Memphis, Tenn., and Charlotte and her husband Roy Presberry of Hayti; and a host of other relatives and many friends.
Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 2, 2001 at The John W. German Funeral Home in Hayti with Rev. Luther Butler officiating. Burial was I the Concord Cemetery north of Hayti.
