Funeral services will be Sunday, July 13, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. from Saugahatchee Assembly of God Church with Minister Joe Richardson officiating, burial to follow in church cemetery with Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, Mr. Ernnie S. Smith; three sons, Jeff Tate (Cindy), Chris Tate (Tanner) Justin Tate, and Wade Tate; grandchildren, Jeffrey Tate, Bryan Tate, Katelyn Tate, Stephan Manning, Alisha Tennyson, Jeremy Patterson, Jacob Gates, Allison Tate, Tabitha Hale, Tyler Tillery, Skylar Pope, Sierra Pope. Savannah Pope, Lucas Pope, Rusty Blake Thomas, Briar Thomas; numerous great-grandchildren; two brothers, Chan Milam (Betty Sue) and Alvin Milam (Cindy) and three sisters, Wanda Barron, Betty Barron and Elsie Barron.
Barbara was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was devoted to her husband and her church, Saugahatchee Assembly of God, where she was a faithful member. She worked hard all her life in textile mills.
She is preceded in death by her son, Steven Ray Tate; daughter, Angela Faye Gates; sister, Martha Barron and brother, Larry Barron.
The family will receive friends, Saturday, July 12, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. from Jeffcoat Funeral Home.
