Mr. Howard Allen Dies
Mr. Howard Benard Allen, 38, died Saturday at a local hospital in Jacksonville, Florida, after a short illness. He lived in and near Barnesville during the earlier years of his life. For the past several years he has been in business in Jacksonville and Miami. He is survived by his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. M. H. Allen; three sisters, Miss Lucy Allen, Mrs. W. C. Stevens, and Mrs. H. F. Council; one brother, Mr. Henry W. Allen, all of Jacksonville, Florida. Mr. Allen had been ill for about 25 years, having lived during all those years with only one lung. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, near Brent, Rev. Homer Bush officiating. Interment followed in the family cemetery. The people of the community extend sympathy to all the bereaved loved ones.
