Obituary:

James Franklin Ayers, 72;of Route 3 (Mount Olivet Road), Pulaski, died Friday night in the VA Medical Center, Salem. Born March 4 1920 in Pulaski, he was the son of the late Homer Ayers and Annie Ora Burton Ayers.


He was a veteran of World War II having served in the United States Army.


Surviving are several cousins.The funeral will be 2 p.m.

Monday at Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski, with the Rev. Raymond H. Farmer officiating. Burial will follow in the

Andrews Family Cemetery on Mount Olivet Road in Pulaski.

Visiting will be anytime after 9 a.m. Monday at Bower Funeral Chapel Pulaski, until the time of service. Bower Funeral Chapel, 1631, Bob White Boulevard,Pulaski, is in charge of arrangements.
