M. Leon Barakett passed away at Pavillion Ste-Marie du CHRTR on May 30, 2009 at the age of 78. Husband of Sylvia Courey, residing in Trois-Rivieres. The family will receive condolences at Centre Funeraire Rousseau, 445 des Volontaires, Trois-Rivieres, Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m., Friday starting at 9 a.m. The funeral will be held on Friday, June 5 at 11 a.m. at St-Sacrement church (1775 boul. St-Louis, Trois-Rivieres). Burial at Forest Hill cemetery in Trois-Rivieres. He leaves to mourn, besides his wife Sylvia Courey, his children: Pierre (Charlotte Fortin), Marc, Andre, Rene, Venise (Michel Hamelin); his grandchildren: Charles and Julia, Zachary; his sisters Hortense Chamandy and Madeleine Lutfy; his mother-in-law Ruby Courey; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law of the Courey family, as well as many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Donations to the Cedars Cancer funds 687 Pine Ave. W. Mtl. H3A-1A1 would be greatly appreciated.
