April 21, 2015 - George "Flop" Banks Jr., 78, of Premium passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at his residence. Flop was the son of the late George Sr. and Minnie Ison Banks. Surviving is his wife: Shirley Stamper Banks; 1 son: James Burton Banks; 3 daughters: Mona Sue Banks Hanna, Shannon Renee Banks and husband David, and Deana Jo Hogg and husband Greg; 2 grandsons: Dawson Blake Banks and Blair Logan Bryant Banks; 1 sister: Bobby Jean Cornett of Madison, Indiana; special nephew: David Banks. Flop was preceded in death by 7 brothers; 7 sisters. Funeral: 1:00 O'clock P.M. Friday, April 24, 2015 at the Hot Spot Community Church with Leslie Shepherd, Wendell Whitaker, and others officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Hot Spot Community Church. Burial will follow in the Banks Cemetery at Premium, Kentucky.
