Kevin Lee Debety, age 29, of Tellico Plains, Tennessee went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 4, 2016 while surrounded by his family and loved ones at University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. Kevin was a loving soul mate, an amazing father, and beloved son and brother. He was a very giving person and has been known to literally give the shirt off his back to a passing stranger. He was preceded in death by his mother, Patsy Debety.

Survivors include his wife and soul mate, Amber Debety of Tellico Plains, Tennessee; his children, Destinee, Serentiee, Kayden, and Blake; father, Cecil Debety; sisters, Brittany Fritts and Tiffany Dockery; brothers, Joey Debety, Steven O’Dell, Daniel O’Dell, Terry Qualls, and Steven West; special aunts,Tammy O’Dell, Robin Hensley, and Sheila Hamby; extended family, Marion West and Glen Dockery; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at Myers Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, in the chapel of Myers Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Best officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home 12:00 noon, Thursday, February 11, 2016 and proceed to Miller’s Chapel Cemetery for the 1:00 p.m., committal service.
