Ethel Marie Dudley, 98, died Friday, Dec. 12, 2003. A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Letchworth Funeral Home Chapel in Scotland Neck. The Rev. Billy Poteat presided. Interment will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16 at the National Cemetery in New Bern.
Dudley was preceded in death by her husband Simmie Dudley; a daughter, Mary E. Kalodes; a son, William Howard Dudley.
She is survived by daughters, Doris Smith of Scotland Neck and Audrey D. Olney of Yorkville, N.Y.; sons, Glen Dudley of Pasadena, Md. and Allen Dudley of Dundalk, Md.; a sister, Minnie Whittington of Scotland Neck; 22 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
