ANTWORTH, PHILIP LEON - It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Philip Leon Antworth on Wednesday, September 25th, 2013, at the Upper Valley Hospital. He is the son of the late Howard and Joycie (Gee) Antworth. Born in Gregg Settlement on November 28, 1922. He is survived by his wife of nearly 68 years, Glenna, and his son, Howard (Sharon) of Jacksonville and Naida of Hampton. Also two siblings older than him, Earl and Margaret Longstaff, both of Hartland. Also siblings Malcolm (Carmen) of Virginia, Harold (Gaye) of Centreville, Kenneth (Jean) of Florenceville, and Elaine Love of Bradford, ON, brother-in-law Milford Carmichael, and Sister-in-law, Carolyne Antworth. Also several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by sisters, Mildred Brown, Anna Sloat, Alberta Dunkman, Nellie Carmichael and brothers Rolston and Gilbert.Visitation will be held from the Knoxford Praying Band Church, 3866 Route 560, Knoxford, on Friday, September 27, 2013, from 2:00 - 4:00 pm. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2013, at 2:00 pm from The Knoxford Praying Band Church with Rev. Andrew DeRier officiating. Interment will be in the Lower Knoxford Cemetery.
