On 26 August 1862, Elizabeth Ann Sprague married Thomas Fitzpatrick at Fort Belknap, Texas officiated by Rev. Pleasant Tackitt. Young County Marriage Book A, page 31.

Fitzpatrick was a Texas Ranger who rode with Charles Neuhaus' Company of Rangers.

Fitzpatrick was murdered according to Company B Muster rolls.
