Mrs. Barker grew up in Clifton, N.J., daughter of Richard M. and Barbara A. Mahon. She was employed by the Colleton County School District as a teachers assistant at Edisto Beach Elementary School. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and Choir, Edisto Island, S.C. Surviving are her husband and her two sons, David Richard and Jacob Aaron all of Charleston, S.C.; two brothers, Craig Mahon of Lafayette, N.J.; and Mark Mahon and wife Jacqueline, nephew Ryan Mahon and niece Sarah Mahon all of Wayne, N.J.
