Robert "Bobby" Hatcher
Robert "Bobby" Hatcher, 66, of Southport, Fla., passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2010, at his residence.
He was born Jan. 20, 1944, to the late Edna and Austin Tharp in Thomasville, Ga. He was the owner and operator of Hatcher Heavy Equipment and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was a hard working man he had a passion for writing poems and loved to make people laugh. In his younger years, Bobby built and raced cars and was an avid Nascar fan. In his spare time, he and his wife enjoyed traveling.
Mr. Hatcher is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Hatcher; three sons, Robert Tharp, Robert S. Hatcher, Danny Jorgensen; four daughters, Sandra Milewski, Tina Coker, Robin Jorgensen, Pamela Wynn; five grandchildren, Kaylee Hatcher, Savannah Hatcher, Zachery Milewski, Tiffany Jorgensen, David Jorgensen; brother-in-law, James McDaniel; and numerous extended family members.
A celebration of Bobby's life will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 10, 2010, at Southerland Family Funeral Home in Panama City, Fla, with Bishop Brian Voyles officiating. Interment to be at 2 p.m. in Cypress Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
