Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at the Augustana Lutheran Church in Gibbon with Pastor Kelly Knox officiating. Burial will follow in the Clear Lake Methodist Cemetery in rural Lafayette.
Visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m. Monday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm and will continue for one hour prior to the time of service at church on Tuesday.

Doris is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Steven Benson of New Ulm; sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Cyndi Briese of rural Gibbon, David and Susan Briese of Clearwater; six grandchildren; an adopted-in-heart son, Keith Roche; sisters and brothers-in-law, Charlotte Elaine Stark of Chaska, Pearl Shanahan of Glencoe, Joanne and Donald Martens of LeSueur, Karen and Fritz Pieoske of Shakopee; and by sisters-in-law, Linda Isenberg of Chaska, Betty Isenberg of Lafayette.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Orville on November 5, 1996; sisters, Eda Peterson, Helen Johnson; and by brothers, Paul, Ricky, David and Stanley Isenberg.
Doris Irene Isenberg was born March 1, 1918 in Cornish Township, Sibley County to Solomon Delphin and Johanna Elvina (Anderson) Isenberg. She was a graduate of St. Paul Johnson High School and the St. Joseph's School of Nursing, both in St. Paul. After graduating she worked at the State Hospital in St. Peter. Doris was united in marriage to Orville Briese on June 6, 1942 on the family farm in Cornish Township. After marriage she was employed as an RN at the Loretto and the Union Hospitals in New Ulm. She then worked as a school nurse at the Gibbon School from 1967 to 1983 when she retired. She enjoyed hardanger and intricate sewing. Doris also liked to read and collect thimbles and angels.
Doris was a member of the Augustana Lutheran Church in Gibbon, American Red Cross and the American Cancer Society.
