George E. Baron, 62, a resident of Foley, died May 17 in a Pensacola, Fla., hospital.
Funeral services were held May 21 at 2 p.m. from Oyster Bay Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Hazel Baron, Foley; two daughters, Jerry Lynn Osika, Grand Heaven, Mich., and Carolyn Joy Walker, Edmore, Mich.; and one brother, Earl Baron, Mcnee, Ill.
Funeral arrangements were by Bayview Funeral Home, Foley.

George Baron, 62, former Hazel Crest public works director, died Tuesday evening at West Florida Hospital in Pensacola, Fla.
Services will be held in Gulf Shores, Ala., where Baron and his wife Hazel moved to following his retirement in April 1982, after 26 years of service to the village.
Plans for a memorial service in Hazel Crest were incomplete yesterday. Interested persons may telephone the village hall at 335-4600 for further information.
Baron began his career with the village in 1956. He was appointed superintendent of public works in 1964. In September, 1971, he was appointed to the position of director of public works and buildings.
He was awarded a civic achievement award in recognition of his outstanding service to the village during clean-up following the the disastrous wind storm of 1965. He worked with civil defense since 1961, serving as director from June, 1972, until April, 1974. In 1980, the roadway north of Lion's field between Bulger and Trapet was named Baron dirve in his honor.
Baron is survived by his wife; two children, Jerri Lynn and Carolyn, both of Michigan, and four grandchildren.
He is a Navy veteran and served 20 years in the Naval Reserves.
