Laura Ekeberg was born to Theodore and Matilda Quarness in Polk Co., (Hill River Township) on March 21, 1899. She was baptized and confirmed in Zion Church rural Fosston, MN. She was united in marriage to Margot Ekeberg in 1927. The couple lived on a farm north of Fosston until Margot's death in 1962. Since that time she made her home in Thief River Falls, MN. Laura was baptized and confirmed in the Zion Lutheran Church north of Fosston, Minnesota.
She was the church pianist at Asphult Lutheran for aa few years.
She was survived by two sistersl Mrs Emil (Viola) Koglin, and Mrs Mabel Dennis. Two brothers; Elmer Quarness and Joseph Quarnes and sever nieces and nephews.
In addition she was preceded in death by three brothers.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceeded in death by three brothers.
