She was born in Knox County on Feb. 1, 1933, the daughter of Raymond D. Mooneyham and Martha Wells Mooneyham.
On Dec. 26, 1952, she united in marriage with Samuel B. "S.B." Castle and to this union two children were born. Mrs. Castle was a member of the Scalf Pentecostal Church and a housewife.
She is survived by her husband, Samuel B. "S.B." Castle; one daughter, Sharris Lavon Castle and one son, Samuel "Sam" B. Castle and wife Tonya, all of Barbourville; two brothers, Jim Matt Mooneyham of Paynes Creek and Joe Kenneth Mooneyham of Barbourville.
Funeral services for Jeanne Castle were conducted at Scalf Chapel Pentecostal Church on Wednesday, May 29, 2002 with the Rev. James Mooneyham, the Rev. Sylvester Dunn, the Rev. Tommy Teague and the Rev. Leonard Lester officiating.
Burial was in the Mooneyham-Martin-Patterson Cemetery at Hales Branch. Hampton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
