MANNSVILLE -- Graveside services for Betty Jane Adams, 71, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Mannsville Cemetery with Leon Haas officiating.
Born on Dec. 31, 1930, at Mannsville to Thomas Woody and Pansy Lee Morgan Stiewig, she died on Aug. 4, 2002, in Madill.
She married Wade Edward Adams on Aug. 29, 1949, in Gainesville, Texas. He preceded her in death on May 19, 1964. She was also preceded by her parents; and a sister, Irene Stiewig.
Betty was raised in Mannsville and Ardmore and later lived in Oklahoma City before moving to Madill in 1965. She had lived at Brookside Manor Nursing Home in Madill since April 15, 1985. She was a member of Church of Christ in Madill. Betty enjoyed singing, going to the movies and attending church services. She was voted as greeter of the month at Brookside and will be dearly missed by all.
She is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Shirley Stiewig, Buncombe Creek; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Nadine and Bob Whitworth, Buncombe Creek, Geneva and John Skala, Oklahoma City, Linda and Clifton McBeth, Oklahoma City, and Diana and James McCollum, Kingston; a stepsister, Vida Jo Johnson, Lebanon; and her loving family at Brookside Manor Nursing Home.
Honorary bearers are Clifton McBeth, Bob Whitworth, John Skala and James McCollum.
Visitation will be until 9 tonight at Watts Funeral Home in Madill.
