|Death: ||Apr. 18, 1898|
Per canvass and survey [circa 1970] published in "Our People And Where They Rest," James W. Tyner, Maxine H. Tyner and Alice Tyner Timmons, American Indian Institute, University of Oklahoma, Norman, OK. 1969-1985 p. 43 (Library of Congress No. QE99-C5-T97) See their map for use as a quick locator tool for graves here. The surname is seen alternatively as "Catcher."
Report from a FAG volunteer that there may be some confusion--as there were apparently more than one person(s) with a similar name, and / or the dates may be questionable on the marker. Moses Ketcher (whose parents were John and Marguerite Chambers) died in 1906.
The "Moses Catcher" whose parents were Tickaneesky Still, and (possibly) Susie Easky died in 1898, in which case the parents identified here may not be correct; the information about the parents of Moses were added here by a "SAC," as I recall, since I had no other information at the time of creating the memorial. Research will continue, but be aware of the concern regarding who this man's actual parents may have been.
John Tickaneesky Ketcher (1836 - 1904)
Marguerite Chambers Ketcher (1838 - 1899)
Moses Ketcher (____ - 1898)
Lutitia Ketcher Corntassel (1858 - 1933)*
George Ketcher (1884 - 1962)*
