Anthony Gregory Daiagle, Jr., "Bud", age 58, of Grand Rapids, MN, died Wednesday January 8, 2014, surrounded by family at The Lodge at Grand Village, Grand Rapids, MN.

He was born in 1955 to Anthony and Marie Daigle in Deer River, MN. Bud graduated from Deer River High School in 1974 and then attended Staples Vocational School in Staples, MN for mechanical drafting. Bud moved to Minneapolis, MN where he worked as a prep cook in the food service and restaurant industry for many years. He was recently employed with MDI for a couple years and returned home 4 years ago to be closer to family.

Bud had a passion for fishing, was very artistic in creating embroidered pieces of art, and volunteered with a variety of organizations.

Bud was an exceedingly honest, kind, and simple man. The family would like to recognize his courage, and his commitment to family, friends, and community. Cancer never knew such a determined adversary. He has truly inspired us.

Preceding him in death was his father, Anthony, Sr.; sister, Angela Rosadiuk; and brother, Brian Daigle.

Bud is survived by his mother, Marie of Grand Rapids, MN; his siblings, Lorraine (Kurt) Peterson of North Pole, AK, Loren Daigle of Cohasset, MN, Douglas Daigle of Cohasset, MN, Diane (Terry) Harker of Belfield, ND, Rhonda Daigle of Rochester, MN, Robert Daigle of Cohasset, MN, and Laura Finke of Grand Rapids, MN; and many nieces and nephews.

Burial will be in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Ball Club, MN.
