Toby Ortiz, age 25, a lifetime resident of El Pueblo, NM, passed away on Monday, December 28, 2015 in Albuquerque, NM.
Toby was born to his parents, Tommy Ortiz and Sheryl Chávez Ortiz on July 13, 1990 in Las Vegas, NM.
Toby was an outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and enjoyed listening to music. Toby loved to dance, sing and play the guitar.
Toby was a Catholic and a member of San Miguel del Vado Catholic Church in San Miguel, NM.
Toby is survived by his loving parents, Tommy and Sheryl Ortiz of the family home of El Pueblo, NM, brothers and sister, Jacob Ortiz and his fiancée, Dominque Flores, Jessica Ortiz and her longtime partner, Lloyd Lucero, Adam Ortiz and his wife, Adrianna all of El Pueblo, NM and James Ortiz and his fiancée, Maxine stationed in Spain, nieces and nephews, Tiffany, Isaiah, Evangeline, Aiden, Toby, Angelo and Mary, paternal grandfather, Paul Chávez Sr. of Albuquerque, NM, maternal grandmother, Mary Montaño of Sena, NM, paternal grandparents, Toby and Molly Ortiz of El Pueblo, NM, aunts and uncles, Patricia Ortiz and her fiancé, Paul, Lorraine Ortiz and her husband, Rudy, Ralph Ortiz and his partner, Melinda, Maria Gonzáles and her husband, Karl, Rosendo Chávez, Paul Chávez Jr., Arcenio Montaño, Adam Montaño and his wife, Tanya, Andrew Montaño, Loretta Gallegos and her husband, Frank and Lee Gonzáles, godfather, Sam Salazar, special friends, Charlie Archuleta, Lawrence Rivera and Mike Ulibarri and numerous cousins, other relatives and many friends. Toby will be missed by his nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Rosary will be held on Sunday, January 3, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at San Miguel del Vado Catholic Church in San Miguel, NM. Funeral service will be conducted on Monday, January 4, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. also at San Miguel del Vado Catholic Church with Father George V. Salazar as Celebrant. Interment will take place in El Pueblo Cemetery in El Pueblo, NM with the following serving as Casket bearers, Jacob Ortiz, Adam Ortiz, James Ortiz, Lawrence Rivera, Lloyd Lucero and Charlie Archuleta. Serving as Honorary Bearers will be Mike “Coach” Ulibarri and all his nieces and nephews.
