Micah S. Yara, a lifelong resident of Las Vegas entered into rest suddenly on Monday, Jan.19, 2009.

Micah was born the youngest of ten children on Nov. 18, 1985 to Joe and Carmen Yara of Las Vegas.

Micah was a caring, unselfish person who was often found lending a generous hand to anyone in need. His favorite past times included family gatherings, outdoor activities and racquetball. His greatest love was that of family; that of his wife, daughter Chloe and of his parents and siblings. Micah's hope and aspirations were to build a home for his family in Sapello.

He is preceded in death by his sister Grace Yara.

Micah is survived by his wife, Mia and daughter, Chloe, his parents: Joe and Carmen Yara; siblings: Alice and husband Patrick Romero of Santa Fe, N.M., Martin and wife Amy Yara of Jacksonville, Fla., Raymond Yara of Albuquerque, Rose and husband Miguel Garcia of Phoenix, Ernest and wife Yolanda Yara of Pecos, N.M., Simon and wife Selah Yara of Rociada, Abel Yara of Sapello, Daniel Yara of Las Vegas, N.M., as well as 24 nephews and nieces. He is also survived by his mother-in-law: Patricia Campbell and friend Charles Osage; Father-in-law: Mark Trujillo and sisters-in-law: Amber and Cheyenne Osage.

Visitation will take place at 9:15 am on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009 at the East Drive Baptist Church, Las Vegas, N.M.. Funeral services will follow at 10 a.m. with Pastor Louis Holguin officiating. Interment will follow at the Private Family Plot in Sapello, N.M. with the following serving as casket bearers: Martin Yara, Raymond Yara, Ernest Yara, Simon Yara, Abel Yara, Daniel Yara, Miguel Garcia, and Nathan Martinez. Serving as honorary bearers will be all his remaining family and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the education fund for Chloe Yara at the State Employee's Credit Union.
