Dies at Daughter's House

Mr. Henry Rogers, who with his fourteen year old son, Floyd, came in from Seattle the early part of November to spend the winter in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Fred Shinkie of Grovont, died suddenly there last Monday night. Mr. Rogers had tubercular trouble, and thought his health would be improved by getting away from the dampness of Seattle into this dry atmosphere and he had apparently been feeling better since his arrival, so that his sudden death was a shock to relatives and friends, who have the sympathy of all in their sorrow. Funeral services will be held this afternoon at Kelly, where interment will be made.

*Thanks to DocShinkle for the information about the old cemetery.

Henry Clay Rogers in likely not in this location. In 1915 the Kelly, Wy. cemetery was located south of the town of Kelly rather than northeast of town where this cemetery is. The grave of Lula Rogers Shinkle, daughter of Henry Rogers, is in the old Kelly Cemetery. She died two years after her father.
