Birth: Feb. 9, 1954

Death: Feb. 23, 2007

Virginia, USA

On February 23, 2007, Everett Carr Jones, an ambassador of Christ, a champion of love, spread his wings and flew to find his final home in Heaven. He graced the earth with his precious life on February 9, 1954 to the loving parentage of Billy W. and the late Mary Elizabeth Carr Jones in Halifax, VA. He was educated in the public schools of Halifax and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from St. Paul's College, Lawrenceville, VA. His passion in life, however, was beautifying the earth which he did with his unparalleled skill of landscape construction and design. He owned Jones Landscaping Service for many years and found great joy in his work. Everett was an authentic Christian man born and raised in a loving Christian home. He grew up worshiping and serving in the Banister Hill Baptist Church where he ministered in music for many years. He was committed to spiritual growth and maintaining a sincere relationship with Christ. He was a phenomenal father to his daughters and gave them a love for fishing. Many Saturdays were spent on the bank of a river, fishing with a bamboo pole and roasting hot dogs over a fire. His love for them was unquestionable, unconditional, and everlasting. He was one of god's most humble creatures and mastered the art of treating people with love, dignity, and respect no matter who they were. He was a friend to the rich and a friend to the poor and took no pride in earthly possessions. Everett leaves to embrace loving memories his twin daughters, Cecelia "CeCe" Jones and Carlesa "LeLe" Jones Sneed; one "son," whom he adored as his own, Kendall Sneed and one beloved grandson, Noah T. Sneed. He also leaves to cherish loving memories, his father, Billy W. Jones; one sister Willie M. Royster; two nieces, Yvette M. Williams and Arlethia E. Royster; and two loving first cousins, Oveda Beard and Robert B. Carr, Jr. Everett had an abundance of friends, among them his faithful and lifelong pal, Sharon C. Graves.
