Mrs. Geraldine (Clark) Ailer, 72, of 701 B Street, died on Monday (May 28, 2012) in Rockingham Memorial Hospital.
She was born on February 27, 1940 in Rockbridge County, daughter of Henry Preston and Rosa Mae Clark.
She retired from T. J. Maxx in 1999.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Lee Ailer; her brothers, Early Golden, Willard, William, Bobby, and Donnie; and her sisters, Virginia Clark, Camie Clark, Katherine Humphries, Elsie Shifflett, Daisey Houff, Mazie Southers, and Nedith Berry. She was the last of her immediate family.
Survivors include her daughter, Kim Click and fiancé, William Clark of Grottoes; and two granddaughters, Sarah and Stephanie Click.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday (May 31, 2012) in Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens by the Rev. Dennis Sites.
Active pallbearers will be Chuckie Lewis, Alan Click, Franklin Humphries, Don Wetsel, and Mike Ailer.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening at Henry Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
