Middle River, MN. - Gerald Dean Gram. 66, died Thursday, May 12, 2011 at Thief River Care Center in Thief River Falls, MN.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at First Lutheran Church in Middle River, with Rev. Curtis Matz officiating. Casket bearers included Steve Holmstrom, Brad Benke, Doyle Harstad, Ole McKeever, Ricky Nelson and Terry Nelson. Interment was held at First Lutheran Cemetery, Middle River, MN.
Gerald Dean Gram was born on October 30, 1944 to Buel "Bud" and Adeline (Foss) Gram in Thief River Falls, MN. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. Gerald attended grade and high school in Middle River.
On August 4, 1962, Gerald was unitedin marriage to Judy Montgomery at Bethlehem Lutheran in Newfolden. Together they made their home in the Middle River Area. They were blessed with three sons. Dean, David, and Darin. Throughout his life, Gerald worked various construction jobs including Thygeson Construction and Davidson Construction.
In 1990, Gerald was married to Rhonds Hupt and became a stepfather to Heather. Their family made their home in Middle River and on August 7, 1992, were blessed with a son, Cody.
Gerald enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, cooking, reading and watching westerns, and visiting with his family and friends. Playing cards was a favorite pastime of Gerald's, especially pinochle. He loved hunting with his children in the fall and picking blueberries in the summer.
Gerald will be remembered as a loving father and grandfather.
He is survived by children, Dean Gram of Newtown, ND, David (Candy) of Middle River, Darin (Kim) Gram of Middle River, Heather (Wayne) Garthus of Holt and Cody Gram of Middle River; grandchildren, Dana, Nick, Ben, Amanda, Krystle, Candice, Kendall, Kerry, Casey, Cole and Jalen; brothers, Kenny (LaVon) Gram of Spring Lake Park, Donald (Donna) of Princeton, Keith (Linda) of Middle River, Randy (Sandy) of Detroit Lakes; uncle, Gordon Foss of Grygla and several nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
Preceding Gerald in death are his parents, Buel and Adeline.
