Elder Clint Howard, age 92, of White Oak Branch Road, West Liberty, went to be with his Lord on Friday, March 31, 2017, at his residence.

Born May 3, 1924, in West Liberty, he was the last surviving child of the late Ballard and Louise Montgomery Howard. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ella Wright Howard, who passed away November 15, 2016; two grandchildren, William Shanklin Howard and Shaina Bella Howard; one daughter-in-law, Barbara Howard; five brothers, Shafter, Hardin, Sylvester, Lester, and Billy Howard; and four sisters, Victoria Ball, Gerta Bolin, Lottie Howard, and Beulah Whitman.

He is survived by four children: William Shanklin Howard of Ezel, Shirley Katherine (Russell) Robbins of West Liberty, Jimmy Walter Howard of West Liberty, and Ballard Howard of Morehead; 10 grandchildren: Debbie Howard (Jeff) Adkins, Jerry (Julie) Robbins, Terry (Robin) Robbins, Randy (Charlette) Howard, Robert (Barbara) Robbins, Shannon (Doug) Kenning, Melanie (Billy) Conley, Shonda (Jason) Hunt, Laura (Keith) Cantrell, and Adam Howard; 24 great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.

He also leaves behind extended family and many friends.

Elder Howard was a former employee of the Morgan County Tree Nursery. A Baptist minister for over 68 years, he loved going to church everywhere. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, running rabbits, and riding mule-pulled wagons when he was able. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who loved his family and will be sadly missed.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, April 3, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Elder Mark Caudill, Elder George Estep, Elder Kenny Pelphrey, Elder Roy Collett, and Elder Lonnie B. Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Staver Smith Cemetery on White Oak Branch Road, West Liberty.

Pallbearers: Jerry, Terry, Robert, and Danny Robbins, John Ballard and John Ed Howard, Anthony Gullett, Chris Chapman, Bradley Wright, Clifford Keeton, Otis Conley, and Kyle King.


Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, April 2, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
