Nicholas Brown
Hayes - Nicholas Boyd Brown, 82, died Wednesday in a Gloucester nursing home.
He was employed by the Tidewater Construction Company for 33 years and was a superintendent at the time of his retirement.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. David Jenkins of White Marsh, Mrs. Jack Jenkins and Mrs. Monroe Oliver, both of Hayes, and Mrs. Hattie Christensen of Hampton; four sons, Nicholas Brown, Milton Brown and T. Woodie Brown, all of Hayes, 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the Hogg Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Beech Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight in Hogg Funeral Home.
Expressions of sympathy should be made in the form of contributions to Beech Grove Baptist Church or the Abingdon Rescue Squad.
