Betty Pellegrin Barrios, 75, was born on Thursday, Feb. 11, 1937 in Chauvin, and passed away at her home in Galliano, on Friday Sept. 7, 2012.
Visitation will be held at Samart-Mothe Funeral Chapel on Monday from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. A mass will be held on Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 11 a.m. with burial in St. Joseph Catholic church cemetery.
She is survived by her son, Dirk Barrios and wife Pattie; daughters, Melinda B. Collins and husband Timmy, Melissa B. Killian and husband Mickey; brother, Thomas "Mark" Pellegrin, Sr.; sister, Gail Grissom; grandchildren, Jeremy Collins and wife Melissa, Cody Collins and wife Corin, Derek Barrios and wife Allie, Jessie Killian and wife Katie, Jennifer Collins and fiancée James Walker, Brody Barrios and wife Celeste, Michelle Lefort and husband Mario; great-grandchildren, Grace Ann Barrios, Adelyn Olivia Lefort.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Harding J. Barrios; parents, Joseph Pellegrin, Jr. and Lela Authement Pellegrin; sister, Loretta Tucker; grandchild, Trish Ann Barrios.
She was a Beautician for 46 years. She enjoyed dancing, spending time with
family and friends and her pride and joy were her flowers.
