Raymond Lopez was born May 6, 1930, the son of Jesus and Juanita (Palacias) Lopez, in Cosmos, Minn. He married Patricia Ann Keezer in 1958 in St. Paul, where the couple lived until moving to Waubun in 1973. He was a carpenter for the White Earth Reservation Tribal Council until an accident forced his retirement in 1986. Patricia died in 1991.
He is survived by his sons, Raymond, Jr., Waubun and Merilyn, St. Paul; daughters, Marilyn, Waubun, and Juanita, St. Paul; and brothers John, Forest Lake, Minn., and Cessario, White Bear Lake, Minn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sons, Juan and Jerry; one brother, and two sisters.
Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday, in Elbow Lake Lutheran Church, rural Waubun.
Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. today, with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service, in the church and one hour before services in the church.
Burial: Vernon Anderson Memorial Cemetery, rural Waubun (Mattson, Mahnomen).
