Chris graduated from Petersburg High School in 1973. She was an assistant librarian for the Moomau-Grant County Public Library in Petersburg for over 30 years.
Chris was also preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Vance and Goldie Bensenhaver and materal grandparents, Carl and Louise Ours.
