MRS. DORTHA E. DEAN, 94, CIVIL WAR WIDOW, DIES AT HOME IN CLAYPOOL
Mrs. Dortha Etta Dean, 94, Civil war widow, died Wednesday night at 9:30 o'clock at the home of her sister, Mrs. Samuel (Elizabeth) Hinkson, of Claypool. She had been ailing for the past few weeks. Death was due to complications.
Mrs. Dean was born in Pennsylvania on January 24, 1847, the daughter of Rinard Skinner Warner and wife, Sarah. She had resided in Etna Green for 25 years, later going to Claypool to live with her sister. John E. Warner, and Henry Warner, Claypool, are relatives of the deceased.
Funeral services will be held at the United Brethren church at Claypool Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. Hatfield officiating. Burial will be in Grove Chapel, southeast of Claypool. The body will remain at the Tucker funeral home, Claypool until time of services.
