Steve A. Martínez, age 48, a resident of Las Vegas, NM, passed away at home peacefully on Sunday, May 21, 2017, surrounded by his loving family.  
Steve was born on April 8, 1969 to John Martínez and Ruby Medina.  
Steve was a full hearted Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed playing pool and basketball.
Steve was preceded in death by his grandparents, Laura and Ignacio Lucero.  
Steve is survived by his parents, his wife, Linda Martínez, children, Steve Martínez Jr. (Julie), Derrick Martínez (Leeann) and Shelby Martínez, step-children, Paula Durán (Isaiah), Lonny Escovedo (Benigna), Dawn Escovedo, Audrianna Pino and Lyah Pino and by his brothers and sister, Johnny Martínez (Epimenia), Joseph (JoJo) Martínez (Antoinette) and Jessica Medina and grandchildren, Leroy, Andres, Isaiah, Ally, Jordan, Kailey, Julian, Reannen, Tomas and Jackie.
Cremation has taken place and services have been scheduled for Friday, May 26, 2017 at St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Mora, with a Rosary at 11:00 a.m., funeral Mass at 12:00 p.m. and burial at the Buena Vista Cemetery.
