Cleo B. Allen, passed away quietly at her home on June 16, 2012. She was a member of Alice Bell Baptist Church and Eastern Star, Chapter 58 Burlington lodge. She is preceded in death by husband; Maurice Allen, son; Gary Branch, and parents; Milard and Bertha Dawson. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law; Shorty and Smitty Smidt, granddaughter and husband; DeShay and Darrel Hinton, great-grandchildren; Declan and Brinlee Hinton, granddaughter; Sheryl Cordray, sister-in-laws; Hessie Branch and Mable Dawson, several nieces and nephews and adopted family; Rick and Cindy Valentine, Shawn, Michelle, and Rachel Fritz, John and Beth Henzel, Steve and Hope Sargent. The family would like to express their appreciation and extend a sincere thank you to her " guardian angels"; Barbara, Lupe, Carrie, Lynn, Ann, and to Alice Bell Baptist Church kitchen committee and youth for their faithfulness. Friends and family will gather on Tuesday, 8 p.m. for a funeral service at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel with Rev. Toby Everett officiating. Interment will be Wednesday, 11 a.m. at Sharon Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City. " MaMaw" is gone but will never be forgotten.
