Virginia S. Encinias, age 94, a long time resident of Montezuma, NM, passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Vida Encantada Nursing and Rehab Center.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Doroteo And Virginia Martínez Sánchez, her husband, Toribio Encinias Sr. and a son, Toribio "Toby" Encinias Jr. Virginia is survived by one son, Fred Encinias and his wife, Patsy of Montezuma, NM, two daughters, Dorothy Knezevich and her husband, Howard of Las Vegas, NM and Sally Becenti and her husband, Albert of Santa Ana, CA, a daughter-in-law, Reva Encinias of Montezuma, NM and by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Virginia was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church.
A Rosary will be recited on Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m. at St. Francis Chapel at Gonzáles Funerals & Cremations, 2315 Hot Springs Blvd. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday morning at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Father Douglas Mitchell will celebrate the Mass. The interment will follow in the José María y Jesús Campesanto in Montezuma.. The following grandchildren serving as casket bearers, Jacob Knezevich, Eric Knezevich, Steve Encinias, Alex Encinias and Aaron Becenti. Judge Michael Vigil will deliver the eulogy.
