POLSON — LaKishia Curley, 31, of Polson passed away on July 1, 2009 at her home in Polson.

She was born on February 10, 1978 in Spokane, WA to Brenda Curley.

Kisha attended schools at Two Eagle River High School in Pablo and Salish and Kootenai College.

She enjoyed music, movies, Pow Wows and loved meeting people. She was outgoing, energetic, caring, sensitive and protective. She was a true people person.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Alice Curley and grandfather Frank Pierce.

She is survived by her daughters Emonie Couture and Eyanah Burshia; parents Brenda and Virgil Brave Rock of Ronan; sisters Chelsea Brave Rock of St. Ignatius, Alycia Shorty of Polson, Cecelia Shorty of Ronan, Mackenzie Brave Rock of Canada, Feather Wildshoe of Ronan; and brother Chasen Curley of Ronan. She is also survived by her aunts Marcella White and Tessie Curley; uncle Francis (Deanna) Auld of Elmo; grandparents Louise Brave Rock and Mervyn Brave Rock of Canada; and numerous other relatives.

Services were held on Saturday, July 4, 2009 at 10 a.m. at the Elmo Hall with Rev. Kenny Prewett officiating, and burial followed at the Elmo Cemetery.
