Louise Virginia Blakemore, 76, 138 Honeyville Ave., Stanley, died April 29, 1996, at the home of her daughter, Sharon Kaye Lam, in Luray.
Mrs. Blakemore was born Sept 12, 1919, in Shenandoahg and was a daughter of the late David Walton Pence and Cordie Ray Eppard Pence.
She was a textile worker at Stanley Manufacturing.
On Oct 4, 1941, she married George Haywood Blakemore, who died Oct 8, 1982.
Survivors, in addtition to her daughter, include two sons, Douglas Wayne Blakemore, Luray and Randall Lee Blakemore, Stanley; one sister, Audrey McAlister, Shenandoah; seven grandchildren; and on great-grandchild.
The Rev. Mahlon M Horst will conduct the funeral at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray. Burial will be in the Hilliard's Chapel Cemetery, Stanley.
The family will receive friends 7-8 p.m. today at the funeral home or at the homes of her children at any time.
