Haskell was the son of W.A. Jack Haskell and Ardina Griffin. He had lived in Miami area most of his life. He was a member of the Spring River Indian Baptist Church near Quapaw and had served in the Army during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include one son; Mark Buergey Craig of Joplin, MO.; two daughters Janell Buergey Thompson of Joplin and Carrie Schroeder of Miami, OK.; three sisters, Barbara Greenfeather of Tulsa, Geneva Buergey #95062130, Anita Miller of Quapaw and 1 grandchild.
A funeral service will be conducted at Spring River Indian Baptist Church, the Rev Ed McFall will officiate. Lenny Skye will conduct Indian rites. Interment will follow in the Buergey Cemetery east of Quapaw. The Missouri National Guard Funeral Ritual Team will conduct military rites. Services are under the direction of Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Miami, OK.
