Charles Graves was born in Leads England in 1794 . He married Mary Lloyd Hollins on Nov 7 1814 in Aston Juxta Birmingham,Warwick, England. They had four known children before 1826.
They moved to the United States and appeared in the 1850 Metomen WI census. Charles was listed as a farmer, living with his wife; his daughter Ann and son John, his daughter Mary (Elizabeth) and her husband Henry Hoyt and their two children.
Charles and Mary were listed in the 1860 census in Metomen, still farming and living by themselves.
Mary died in 1861. The 1870 Census lists Charles as a household by himself but following the listing for Sylvester and Isabelle Sargent (Charles and Mary's daughter) and a note has Charles living with his daughter.
Charles died in 1878 and was buried in the Round Tree Cemetery with other members of the family.
