Son of Dr. William Agnew and Blanche Gardner. Stepson of James Ross. After his stepfather's death in Dec 1935, William became the editor of the Winchester Press. He served in this role until the end of June 1939, when he left to pursue a Master's Degree at Queen's University in Kingston. He later served in WWII.
