Roman Martinez, 36, of Farmington, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, July 24, 2007, in Farmington. He was born Nov. 23, 1970, in Farmington to Ina and Arnold Martinez, and was raised in Bloomfield.

Roman is survived by his wife of 20 years, Lori; his daughter, Desiree, and a son, Alex, and an unborn child. Also surviving Roman are his brothers and sisters, Julian, Patrick (Elaine), Angelo, Randy, Dolores (Angelo), Jerome, Diane, Angelina and husband, Mike Campbell, Armon, Nick (Kara), and Teresa; grandmother, Rose Martinez; and Shady, his pet. He had numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Anthony; and grandparents, Rose and Manual Rodriguez, and Nacor Martinez.

He was employed with L & W Drilling. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union No. 611.

He enjoyed working out, spending time with his family and friends, and spending quality time with



his special friend, Papa (Shady).
Rosary for Roman will be at 7 p.m. Sunday, July 29, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bloomfield.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday, July 30, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with Father Jim Walker as celebrant. Interment will follow at Bloomfield Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be his brothers, Julian, Patrick, Angelo, Randy, Jerome, Armon and Nick Martinez. Honorary Pallbearers will be Frank Abeyta Jr., Victor Mitchell, Milton DeHerrera Jr., Rick Miller and Ernie Casaus.

Roman will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He will always be remembered for his great sense of humor and unique style. He was always there to lend a helping hand. He was one of a kind.
