Services for Lucille Hill Causey, 79, of Shreveport, LA, were conducted on Wednesday, December 28, at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Shreveport. Interment was in St. Rest Baptist Church Cemetery near Arcadia, LA, in Bienville Parish.
Mrs. Causey was a native of Vivian, LA, and lived in Shreveport, LA, for over 50 years, where she passed away. Her siblings were Ernest Edward, Bessie Beatrice, Ruby Rachel, Leola Lucille, Georgia GENEVA and Mildred MYRLENE. She was married to Truman George Causey on April 23, l936. She was a member of Walnut Hill Baptist Church of Vivian, LA, and was a former food service supervisor with the Veteran's Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Georgia Holt Hill and husband, Truman George Causey; a sister, Bessie Spence; and a brother, Ernest Hill.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Kay Francis Causey Duggan and her husband, Larry, of Doyline, LA, and Shearon Eloise Causey Guidry and husband, George, of Larose, LA; one son and daughter-in-law, Truman George Causey Jr. and his wife, Helen, of Shreveport, LA; three sisters, Ruby Eaton of Spartanburg, S.C., Geneva Shoemaker of Tampa, FL, and Myrlene Comer of Longview, TX; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
