Chehalis tribal member, Deborah Joanne Rosander, of Oakville, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2007, at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Debbie was born June 3, 1958, in Centralia, to Leonard and Ida Marie (Jack) Rosander. She was raised in Oakville and graduated from Oakville High School.
She loved living in Seattle where she attended the University of Washington for five years while working on her Master's Degree. Debbie loved to learn and she loved school.
Debbie was a store manager at K-Mart for five years and she had also worked at the Lucky Eagle Casino. Debbie was looking forward to working at the Great Wolf Lodge upon its completion.
Debbie enjoyed riding horses, playing the piano, and basket weaving. She had a bubbly, fun loving personality and a big heart.
Debbie is survived by her mother, Ida Marie Rosander of Oakville; two brothers, Kenneth of Hoquiam and Francis of Taholah; a sister, Janice Latch of Oakville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Leonard; and a sister, Teresa.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., on Thursday, June 14, 2007, at Whiteside Family Mortuary in Elma. A graveside service will follow at the Chehalis Tribal Cemetery in Oakville.
