Verdie Mae Clark 90, of Bee Branch, Arkansas left this Earth for her eternal home with the Lord Friday, December 31, 2010. She was born March 17, 1920 at Rockport, Texas to the late Arb and Verdie Alma (Hughes) Baldwin.

She was raised in Kerrville, Texas where she attended Tivey High School. She later graduated from Draugh Business College. She worked for Express and News for 23 years in San Antonio, Texas. She married Louie Lloyd Clark on August 18, 1935. Together they had one son, Louie Lloyd Clark, Jr. Mae and Louie called Texas their home until louie's retirement. They moved to Arkansas bringing Lloyd and his family with them.

The biggest part of Mae's life was her work for the lord. She served as the Womans Director of the North Central Baptist Association-WMU. Mae was recognized for her many years of service and dedication from 1974-1989. She enjoyed teaching Bible Study Fellowship in Conway for 9 years and developed many lasting friendships. She was a member of Bee Branch Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School to her grandsons. She also served as Chairman of the Outreach Committee which helped to feed and clothe many families in the community. Mae had a heart for Missions and touched many lives.

Mae is preceded in death by her husband. She is survived by her son, Lloyd and his wife Ernestine of Bee Branch, Arkansas; her sister, Sue Brannen, lives in San Antonio, Texas; Mae's three grandsons and her six great-grandchildren all live in Bee Branch on the family farm. They are Gammon and Terry Clark and children, Katie and Lane; Tim and Staci Clark and sons, Alex and Austin; Dallas and De Clark and daughters, Baylee and Sydni.

Graveside Service and Burial will be Thursday, January 6, 2011, at 2:00pm at the Baldwin Cemetery in Kerr County, Texas under the direction of Grimes Funeral Chapel.

Local Arrangements are under the care and direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Clinton, Arkansas.
