BROWNLEE, Curtis M., a resident of Oklahoma City and Burnet County, Texas, died April 30, 1995. He was born October 9, 1926 in Austin, Texas.
After serving in the Navy during World War II, he graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in Petroleum Engineering. He worked for General Crude Oil Company and George and Herman Brown Oil and Gas Interests before going into the oil and gas business for himself in 1963. He was a member of All Souls Episcopal Church, the Masons, the Shriners, the Royal Order of Jesters, Sigma Alpha Epsilon and the Quiet Birdmen. His numerous hobbies included hunting, fishing, shooting, flying airplanes, building and flying radio controlled airplanes, designing and building model airplane engines and spending time on his Burnet County, Texas ranch. He is survived by his wife, Robbie Dell Brownlee; his sister, Mary B. Barker of Austin, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Mitch and Ann Brownlee of San Antonio, Texas; daughters and sons-in-law, Adelle and Ben Brewer of San Antonio, Texas and Louisa and David Stegmann of Austin, Texas; grandsons, Mitchell Brownlee, Austin Brewer, Cameron Brewer, Tyler Brewer and Ben Stegmann; granddaughters, Lauren Brownlee, Louisa Brewer and Katherine Stegmann. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, May 2 at All Souls Episcopal Church in Oklahoma City. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, Oklahoma Medical Research, 825 NE 13, 73104 or All Souls Episcopal Church, 6400 N Pennsylviana, 73116.
