Jean McDuff Baugh departed this life April 25, 2008. Born in Shreveport, Louisiana October 29, 1920 to Fred McDuff and Inez Hale McDuff, Jean spent her childhood years in Little Rock, Arkansas. Jean attended the University of Oklahoma for two years, where she was a member of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority and later graduated from the University of Missouri School of Journalism. She worked in advertising and public relations and later spent many years with Wm. E. Davis and Sons Food Distributors. Throughout her long life, Jean gave unconditionally to her friends and to her community. She was involved in numerous charitable and civic organizations in Oklahoma City, including the Oklahoma Art Museum, The Guild of St. George, and she volunteered in various capacities at All Souls Episcopal Church. She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed gardening, theater, reading, and music. To all who knew her, Jean was the epitome of grace.
Jean is survived by her son, Howard Thomas Baugh III and his wife Jane of Roanoke, Virginia, and her daughter Barbara Baugh Laird of Los Angeles, California.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 29, 2008, at 2PM at All Soul's Church, where Jean had been a member since it was "the little church in the park". In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Guild of St. George or Free to Live Animal Sanctuary.
