BASS Nancy B., died peacefully on July 1, 1990. She was born July 27, 1908 in Topeka, KS, to Malcolm R. and Amy L. Bacon. They moved to OKC in 1918.
She attended Oklahoma University where she was Freshman Queen and a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. She married Boylston B. Bass in 1934 and was to be his loving supportive wife until his death 48 years later. During those years he was president of American First Title and Trust and of American Mortgage and Investment Co. in OKC and was president of the National American Mortgage Bankers Association.
Throughout her life, she was very active in the Episcopal Church, both at St. Paul's Cathedral and at All Souls Church. She was an active member of the Wednesday Review, Tuesday Study Club and Thursday Bible Study Club. Surviving are her sons, Philip B. Bass of San Francisco and Dr. David A. Bass of Winston-Salem, N.C.; grandchildren, Timothy & Ellen of San Francisco, Elizabeth & Haven of Winston-Salem; sisters, Jane DiGarimore & Eugenia B. Abernathy of OKC; brother, Raymond L. Bacon of Wichita, KS; nieces, Diane DiGarimore of OKC & Carter Luerding of Wichita, KS.
11:00 A.M. Thursday, July 5, at All Souls Episcopal Church, 6400 N. Penn. In lieu of flowers, her family requests that donations be sent to the Genesis Project in OKC, to All Souls Church or to the charity of donor's choice. Arrangements by HAHN-COOK/STREET & DRAPER.
