Jacob H. (Jake) Britton, of Owasso, passed away Monday, Jan. 25, 2010 at the age of 34. Jake was born Aug. 12, 1975 in Pawhuska, Okla. to Clay Hardin and Marjorie Ann (Koppes) Britton. At the age of five, the family moved to Owasso where he was raised, graduating from Owasso High School in 1994. Jake worked in home construction, both as a builder and architect, working with Simmons Homes and operating his own company, Britton Homes. He was proud to be a part of several special projects with the television show "Extreme Makeover Home Edition," as well as the local Owasso Extreme Home Makeover with Simmons Homes. Jake loved the outdoors, enjoyed scuba diving, both snow and water skiing, boating, camping, motorcycling and flying, but most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his dog "Millie".
Those that survive him are his: mother and step-father, father and step-mother, siblings, niece, nephews, paternal grandparents, as well as aunts, uncles, additional relatives and friends.
A wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010 at St. Therese Catholic Church in Collinsville, Okla., with the funeral Mass being held the following morning at 10 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 28 at the church with Rev. Richard F. Cristler officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Therese Catholic Cemetery.
